In the session just ended Dindo Capello was in fact the only driver faster than the wall of 1'45'' thanks to a great laptime of 1´44.626; his team mate Marco Bonanomi ( 1´45.236) followed.
The first row of race one scheduled for this afternoon at 17.50 (local time, GMT+2) will be all dressed with Audi Sport Italia colours; behind them Davide Di Benedetto (Corvette Z06-RC Motorsport), will start from the third spot thanks to the time of 1´46.030 and Mario Cordoni (Porsche GT3R-Autorlando), will follow in fourth 1´47.910.
The fastest driver of the GT Cup was Giacomo Piccini (Lamborghini Gallardo-Mik Corse), absolute fifth in 1´48.838, followed by Giorgio Sanna (Lamborghini Gallardo-Team Imperiale) who stopped watches after 1´48.868.
In GT2, Giovanni Coggiola (Porsche RSR-Victor Porsche) set the twelfth absolute time in 1´50.373, while in GT4 was Stefano Zanini (Ginetta G50) that obtained the fastest time in the session finale with a laptime of 1´56.534 right ahead of his team mate and current classification leader Tiziano Cappelletti (1´56.864).
The second qualifying session valid for race two's grid will begin at 12.30 local time (GMT+2).
