GT 2012, Enrique Bernoldi (former F1) with the second Ferrari 458 Italia of Vita4One Team Italy

The Brazilian ace will take part in the two races of the season opener at Vallelunga with the second car lined up by the team led by Matteo Bobbi in a pairing including the young Briton Michael Lyons.

24/04/2012 – A second Ferrari 458 Italia with Vita4One Italy livery will race in Vallelunga next 6 May in occasion of the two opening races of the 10th edition of the Italian GT championship.

After the announced lineup Fornaroli-Comandini, Team Principal Matteo Bobbi officialized the second car for the former Formula One driver, the Brazilian Enrique Bernoldi, and the British Michael Lyons that will be lined up only for the opening round.

Bernoldi, 33 years old with Italian origins has a solid CV that saw him racing in Formula One for the entire 2001 season and some races of 2002. After the debut on karts, the Brazilian ace took part in several championships such as Formula Renault, British F3, F 3000 to reach afterwards Formula 1 where he run a total of thirty races.
World Series by Nissan, Indycar Series, Superleague Formula and FIA GT are some other championships where Bernoldi has always been in evidence getting prestigious victories.

Bernoldi's co-driver, for the two races of Vallelunga will be the 21 years old Michael Lyons, driver with a past in Formula Renault and who made his debut last year in the British GT securing a victory with the Ferrari 458 Italia GT3.

The two Ferrari 458 Italia lined up at the start of the tricolored GT 2012 award all the efforts done by Matteo Bobbi who does not hide his satisfaction: “I am really happy on having such a high value lineup like the one made by Bernoldi and Lyons, even if just for Vallelunga. With them and the already announced Comandini and Fornaroli, we will get to the start of the Italian GT championship with an high potential that makes up optimist for the two races".
