20/08/2012 – The fifth round of the Italian GT Championship to be held next 1 and 2 September at Imola's race track will see also the MC Laren MP4-12C on track.

The British coupe will make its debut in class GT3 of the Italian series thanks to Bhaitech Racing, Italian division of Bhaitech srl based in Mestrino (Padova), company that manages third parties projects connected with motor-racing on circuit competitions.

The structure is composed of highly professional personnel in the field of motor-racing, but the round of Imola will be the first direct participation of Bhaitech to a race.

The shake down is scheduled for tomorrow, 21 August, at the circuit of Varano. Behind the wheel of the car will alternate Alessandra Neri and the 26 years old New Zealander Chris van der Drift, who has been successfully competing in Auto GP with Manor Motorsport this year. They will be the most likely drivers to take the British GT car on track in Imola.

"Our programme includes the participation in the last three races if the championship – explained Roberto Costa, technical director of Bhaitech Srl – ahead of the definition of 2013 to be agreed with the British brand, for which we are official providers. MC Laren has shown interest towards the Italian championship and this is why we decided to get directly involved even if our core business is consultancy, development and design activities for third parties".
