19/09/2012 – The National debut of the Mercedes SLS AMG will be one of the motives of the sixth and penultimate round of the Italian GT Championship on the challenging Mugello Circuit, just at the doors of Florence.

The arrival of the Stuttgart's car, driven by the lineup De Lorenzi-Necchi (GDL Racing), follows the debut of the McLaren MP4-12C happened recently in the round of Imola and enriches further the formation of class GT3, whose classification sees now Andrea Sonvico, Di Benedetto-Frassineti (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia), Balzan-Barri (Porsche GT3R-Ebimotors) and Biagi-Colombo (BMW Z4-ROAL Motorsport) all within only thirteen points.

Matteo Malucelli will be back in the GT championship behind the wheel of the Porsche GT3R of Antonelli Motorsport sharing the drive with Christian Passuti, winner together with Paolo Ruberti of Imola's race 2. The Ferrari 458 Italia of Easy Race, orphan of the pairing Mancini-Lancieri, will be taken on track by a lineup still to be defined.

The title of GT2 is already been assigned to the brothers Victor and Giovanni Coggiola (Porsche RSR-CVG S.A), after the default of Rocca-Romanini (Ferrari 458 Italia-Black Team) that will not be present in Mugello.

In GT Cup 1st Division the title is still to be awarded and Cicognani-Granzotto (Porsche 997-Antonelli Motorsport), helped by team mates Venerosi-Baccani, lead the reigning champions Sanna-Stancheris (Lamborghini Gallardo-Imperiale Racing) by thirty-nine points, while the title of the 2nd Division is virtually assigned to Vincenzo Donativi who is close to getting his first title.
