Holidays are over and the Italian GT Championship will resume from the very same place were it left over: Imola's racetrack. The circuit Enzo and Dino Ferrari staged the last round ahead of the summer break and now is ready to welcome the Italian GT for the third-last act of 2013 this weekend with the two classifications – GT3 and GT Cup – still to be defined.

In the higher class the Porsche GT3R of Postiglione-Lucchini will be the car to be beaten. The color bearers of Ebimotors are leading the standings, but behind them the two Ferraris 458 Italia of Venturi-Maino (Black Bull Swisse Racing) and Lancieri-Cirò (MP1 Racing) are getting closer and now are respectively 7 and 18 points shy of the leaders.

The fight for the Italian crown seems to be restricted to these three lineups but bold performances are still to be expected by the two Audi R8 LMS (Audi Sport Italia) of Sonvico-Capello, winner of the last round held at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit and of Frassineti-Kristoffersson, as well as from the BMW Z4 driven by Comandini-Colombo and Michela Cerruti (ROAL Motorsport).

On the Santerno's benches the Porsche GT3R of Passuti-Mapelli (Antonelli Motorsport) will also be hunting a good result as they finished third in race-1 last July, while the Lamborghini Gallardo di Sanna-Barri (Imperiale Racing) is now ready for the top step of the podium.

In GT Cup, class reserved to single-brand configured cars, the Lamborghini Gallardo of Piancastelli-Durante (Imperiale Racing) will make its debut to slot in the fight between the Porsche 997 of current classification leaders Babini-Bianco (GDL Racing) and that of Marco Magli (Antonelli Motorsport), that follows 29 points shy. The third-last round of the season will also see Pan-Jacoma (Ebimotors), Vincenzo Donativi and a co-equiper still to be defined, and Galbiati-Rangoni (Antonelli Motorsport) at the start.

The round of Imola schedules the two qualifying sessions on Saturday (from 16,30 GMT+2 to 17,20), while the two 48 minutes + 1 lap races will start on Sunday at 9 and then at 14,40.
Both races will be shown by Raisport2 (race-1 with live coverage, while race-2 will be shown recored at 17.20). The race will also be available through live web streaming at www.acisportitalia.it/GT.
