Postiglione-Lucchini (Porsche GT3R) win race-1

Three Porsches on the podium with Ebimotors lineup leading Passuti-Mapelli and Ragginger-Renauer. Bad luck for Venturi-Maino that had a problem with a tyre while leading the pack.

Stunning victory for Vito Postiglione and Luigi Lucchini (Porsche GT3R) in race-1 of the last round of the season that just finished in Monza..

Ebimotors color bearers led two other coupès of the Stuttgart's firm, that is the one driven by Passuti-Mapelli (Antonelli Motorsport), which had a gap of 25"766s to the leaders and that of Ragginger-Renauer (Tonino Motorsport) that were 26"282s short of the winners.

Fourth place for Michela Cerruti (BMW Z4-ROAL Motorsport) at the end of a very tight recover; she proceeded Kristoffersson-Frassineti (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia) and Venturi-Maino (Ferrari 458 Italia) with the latter on the lead for a long time. With only seven laps to the end Maino was leading Lucchini but had a tyre problem and was forced to a pit stop giving therefore the lead of the race away.

The provisional classification leaders Comandini-Colombo (BMW Z4-ROAL Motorsport) ended seventh as they were delayed by the time penalty they had to serve at the drivers change. Behind them, Lancieri-Pezzucchi (Ferrari 458 Italia-MP1 Corse), Amici-Zaug (Lamborghini Gallardo-Imperiale Racing), that were slowed down in the melee of the first lap and Capello-Sonvico (Audi R8 LMs-Audi Sport Italia), with the latter that were penalyzed by a puncture.

The victory in GT Cup went to Mirko Zanardini (Lamborghini Gallardo-Bonaldi Motorsport) who led the two Porsche 997 of Marco Magli (Antonelli Motorsport) and Pan-Jacoma (Ebimotors). No physical consequence for Fabio Babini (Lamborghini Gallardo-Imperiale Racing) that had a violent exit at parabolica due to a technical problem still under investigation.

In the general standings of GT3, Postiglione-Lucchini are on the lead with 136 points, followed by Comandini-Colombo (122) and Venruri-Maino (121) and one race only is left.

Tomorrow morning race-2 (48minutes + 1lap) will award GT3 title starting from 12.30 (GMT+2) with live coverage on Raisport2 and web streaming at www.acisportitalia.it .
