A team renewed for its 3/4 will get to the start of the Italian GT Championship that is going to start next weekend at the Misano World Circuit

Three of the four drivers are new comers to Audi in the Italian series, while Dindo Capello, an institution for the German brand, is at his sixth season in the tri-colored GT.

The multiple-times champion from Asti will be joined by a young promise of motorsport, the twenty years old from Saint Marin Emanuele Zonzini who comes from open wheels (Italian and European Formula Abarth, Formula Renault ALPS and GP3 Series) after starting his career in karting.

The second lineup will be made by Marco Mapelli and another youngster, the German Thomas Schoefller. The twenty years old driver from Singen already defended Audi's colors in the past two seasons, in the Superstars first and then in Euro GT Sprint, series in which he won the 2013 title.

Schoeffler will share the cockpit of the R8 LMS ultra with Marco Mapelli, who has been Italian GT Cup champion in 2010 on the Ferrari F 430. The 26 years old Italian has been racing in class GT3 last year at the wheel of the Porsche GT3R run by Antonelli Motorsport and ended the season with a brilliant win in Misano and the seventh final place together with Christian Passuti.

The four drivers got acquainted with the car – that had the old livery, while waiting for the new one to be unveiled shortly – at the recent private tests Marzi Sport in Misano. The occasion has been quite handy also to test the new Pirelli tires that will be used during the season.
