MP1 Corse from Ancona hit the big target ahead of the Italian GT Championship that will be starting this coming weekend at the Misano World Circuit.

The team managed to sign in fact the Italian driver Alessandro Balzan. The winner of last year's Grand Am will share the cockpit of the GT3 Ferrari 458 Italia with Nicola Benucci, who has been competing in the Carrera Cup Italia in 2013.

"We would like to repeat the good championship run last year – Team Principal Marco Polito declared - well, we intend to go beyond that and I believe that signing a champion like Alessandro and a very constant driver like Nicola can be a step towards that objective."

The debut in MP1 racing took place last year but regardless of being the first season, the team from Ancona clinched the victory in Mugello with the lineup Lancieri-Cirò. "We hope to get even a more round haul in this season – Polito pointed out – we have all what it takes as confirmed in the test held in Misano."

The official entering of some more lineups at the wheel of the 458 Italias is awaited for the coming hours, which will bring the number of cars making it to the start of the Misano's opener raise up to 25.
