Weather wise it has been a difficult Sunday in Imola for the races of Super GT3 and GT3. Due to heavy rain, the race was stopped at lap 11 and the victory went to the Audi R8 LMS of Mapelli-Albuquerque (Audi Sport Italia), that led the two Lamborghini Huracans of Pezzucchi-Venturini (Imperiale Racing) and Di Folco-Agostini (Antonelli Motorsport).

In GT3 the top step of the podium went to Zonzini-Russo (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia) that proceeded Monfardini-Valori (Lamborghini Gallardo-Cars Engineering) and Venerosi-Baccani (Porsche 997-Ebimotors) at the flag. The race of Super GT Cup e GT Cup was also spoiled by the difficult weather conditions and has been delayed to this afternoon at 18,55.

Race-2 SUPER GT3 and GT3: The second victory of the season for Mapelli-Albuquerque arrived when the Audi Sport Italia's lineup was in the pits for the drivers change. Race direction decided to stop the race due to the heavy rain that made conditions impossible on the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit and that caused a lot of excursions. The start had happened under safety car regime with the BMW M6 GT3 of Comandini-Cerqui joining after the engine change overnight.

The track turned out to be very tricky since the beginning and Nicola Pastorelli had a big impact on the barriers. After the restart at lap five, Mol attacked poleman Mancinelli and took the lead, followed suit by his team mate Venturini. Rain kept falling heavily and this caused several spins and excursions involving, among others, Gagliardini, Bontempelli and Leo, as the latter was second in GT3 behind Valori and ahead of Baccani.

The safety car deployment neutralized the race again and at the restart Di Folco that already found his way past Venturi, managed to overtake also Frassineti installing himself in P4 behind the two Huracans and the Audi of Albuquerque, while Mancinelli stopped in the pits. Prohibitive track conditions caused several other excursions, among which Leo's, that had to retire leaving GT3 P2 to Zonzini who had been good in recovering several positions early on. On top, Mul had some problems and he spun at lap 9 before being beached at Rivazza leaving the lead to his team mate. Twists did not stop there and Venturini, who just took it over from Pezzucchi, spun as did shortly after Russo that replaced Zonzini at the wheel.

As the track was getting worse by the minute, race direction red flagged the race and the final classification was defined at lap 10. The victory went to Mapelli-Albuquerque, who led Pezzucchi-Venturini and Agostini-Di Folco. The fourth place went to Gattuso-Frassineti (Lamborghini Huracan-Ombra Racing), that ended ahead of Cerqui-Comandini (BMW M6 GT3-BMW Team Italia), Sini-Mugelli (Aston Martin Vantage-Solaris Motorsport), Venturi-Gai (Ferrari 488 GT3-Black Bull Racing) and Linossi-Bontempelli (Nissan GT R-Drive Technology Italia).
Zonzini-Russo, seventh absolute, took the win of GT3 ahead of Monfardini-Valori, Venerosi-Baccani, Marco Galassi (Ferrari 458 Italia-Team Malucelli) and Postiglione-Gagliardini (Lamborghini Gallardo-Imperiale Racing).

The classification of Super GT3 saw points halved. Bortolotti and Mul kept the lead from Mapelli and Albuquerque by one point, while Monfardini and Valori lead by half a point from Baccani and Venerosi in GT3. They are one and half point clear of Luca and Nicola Pastorelli.

Race-2 of classes Super GT Cup, GT Cup and Cayman Trophy will start at 18,55.
