Following the victory in race-1, Venturi-Gai (Ferrari 488-Black Bull Swisse Racing) take also the win of Super GT3 race-2 in Imola’s round of the Italian GT Championship, proceeding the Lamborghini Huracan (Ombra Racing) of Frassineti-Beretta by 0”839s and the sister car of Easy Race driven by Melo-Schirò by 3”598s, confirming in this way their lead in the standings of Super GT3 PRO with 40 points. In GT3, the victory went again to Venerosi-Baccani (Porsche GT3R-Ebimotors), while the victory in Super GT Cup went to Negra-Desideri (Lamborghini Huracan-Antonelli Motorsport) as Eugenio Pisani (Porsche 997-Siliprandi Racing) got on the top step of the podium of GT Cup. Cristoni-Carboni won GT4 on the Ginetta G55 run by Nova Race. The second round of the Italian GT will take place next 3-4 June in Misano Adriatico.

SUPER GT3: Venturi-Gai won race-2 despite the 15s time handicap they had to serve due to the victory scored on Saturday. The Black Bull Swisse Racing’s team has been great thanks to a very quick first stint put in by Gai, who always held P1, and a second part of the race that saw Venturi getting out of the pits in P3 but managed to find his way past Frassineti first and Melo then.

Behind them, Frassineti-Beretta, after a good stint of the 22 years old driver from Milan who was always close to the second place of Schirò. Back on track after the driver change, Melo found himself on top leading Zampieri, while Frassineti managed to keep P3 from Venturi, but the race was then neutralized by the safety car due when Treluyer’s Audi got beached. At the restart, Melo pulled away and behind him Frassineti and Venturi got past Zampieri. Malucelli closed in and at lap 21 he managed to get past Comandini, while Valente, Baruck and Pastorelli followed. In the closing stages the race got even more exciting and Melo slowed down a bit his pace and was caught by Frassineti and Venturi. At lap 26 Venturi had the upper hand on the Ombra Racing’s driver, while at the following lap (the last) the Black Swisse Racing’s driver took the lead overtaking Melo at Rivazza. The Brazilian went wide into the sand, handing the second place to Frassineti and positions did not change at the flag. The fourth place went to Zampieri-Agostini, that were followed by Malucelli-Cheever, Comandini-Cerqui, Baruck-Leo, Valente-Veglia, Pastorelli-Pezzucchi, Motoaki Ishikawa and Gentili-Cassarà.

GT3: After the victory in race-1, Venerosi-Baccani took another win in race-2. La Mazza  (Ferrari 458 Italia-Easy Race) had to start from the pits due to an electric problem, while Baccani got the lead proceeding Colajanni (Corvette-Erreci Proracing). La Mazza got past Colajanni at the end of lap six and positions did not change afterwards as Veronesi crossed the finish line first, proceeding Magli and Del Castello. Venerosi and Baccani lead the classification and reached level 40 points thanks to the two victories, Del Castello and Colajanni follow (27) proceeding La Mazza and Magli (15), as the latter pairing has been quite unlucky so far. 

Super GT Cup: The victory of race-2 in the series reserved to the Lamborghini Huracans went to Negra-Desideri. Ortiz got the lead at the start, but the Vincenzo Sospiri Racing’s driver was handed a drive through penalty due to jump start and handed the top positions to Vainio, Desideri, Cazzaniga, Kasai and Perolini. Back on track at the end of pit stops, Negra, who took over from Desideri, was leading the race from Tujula to D'Amico, who was later on handed a drive through for overtaking under yellow flags, Basz and Ja Tong. The closing stages have been quite exciting with Tujula closing in on Negra, but the sixty-six years old driver of Antonelli Motorsport managed to fend off all the attacks moved by the young Finn. Negra proceededVincenzo Sospiri Racing’s Basz, D'Amico, Jia Tong, Alessandri, Bonacini and Demarchi at the flag.

GT CUP: The race has been very tight in this category. Eugenio Pisani was eventually on the top step of the podium from P2 behind Di Leo-”Poppy”. Vago Racing Team’s driver was forced to the retirement due to a suspension failure, giving way to the driver of Siliprandi Racing. Back on track after the round of pit stops, Baccarelli took the lead proceeding Pisani and La Mazza, who took over from Nicolosi, but the Italian driver was handed a drive through for an erroneus procedure during the driver change. Pisani inherited therefore the lead, keeping it all the way to the flag as Baccarelli and La Mazza completed the podium.

GT4: Race-2 awarded the Ginett G55 of Nova Race a splendid one-two, as Cristoni-Carboni claimed the win leading team mate Luca Magnoni and Cerati-Ghezzi (Porsche 997-Autorlando). De Castro (Porsche Cayman-Ebimotors) led the way at the start proceeding Carboni in second place. The two drivers engaged in a good duel for the lead, while Ghezzi was third at the end of a good duel in the first stint. Back on track after the changes, Cristoni, who took over from Carboni, was in the lead, while De Castro, slowed down by the handicap for winning race-1, was second and Magnoni third proceeding Cerati and Neri. De Castro got past Cristoni at lap 25 and got the lead back, but Ebimotors driver was given a minute time penalty dye to an erroneous procedure in the pits and slipped down to the final P5 behind Nicola Neri (Porsche Cayman-Kinetic Racing).
