Scuderia Baldini 27 announced a sensational news this morning. The 488 GT3 lined up in the ENDURANCE series of the Italian GT Championship will have a historic name for Ferrrari: Villeneuve. Jacques will contest the entire season behind the wheel of the number 27 car.

This pairing is reliving in the Italian GT championship, thanks to the Italian team that managed last year to bring back on the grid another great driver: the former F1 Giancarlo Fisichella.

“We are quite happy to announce today the participation of Jacques Villeneuve to the Italian GT Championship – team owner Fabio Baldini declared– Bringing back a historic pairing for the Brand is a big hit. Jacques will drive the number 27 488 GT3. The Formula 1 1997 World Champion will, therefore, use a number that is dear to all the fans of team Ferrari. Good news do not end here. We are trying to finalize the contract with Giancarlo Fisichella that we would like to have with us also in this season. Giancarlo run an excellent 2018 season and we are trying to keep him with us to share driving duties with Jacques. We are still deciding on a good third driver. Let me say that this is going to be quite a “lucky” driver because he will have the chance to compete in a prestigious championship alongside two great champions, which is quite an interesting opportunity for all drivers.”

A good hit for Scuderia Baldini 27, but some more are still to come, considering also that the Italian team will also take part in the SPRINT series with the Ferrari 488.
