Comandini-Johansson-Krohn (BMW M6 GT3) get the first pole of the Endurance Series of the Italian GT Championship

The fastest time in GT Light to Cristoni-Michelotto-Demarchi (Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo), Fascicolo-Guerra-Fontana (BMW M4) on top in GT4.

After posting the quickest time in the first free practice session, BMW flags wave high also in the three qualifying sessions of the opener of the Endurance series of the Italian Grand Touring Championship at the Monza Eni Circuit.

The sum of the three times put in by the three drivers Stefano Comandini, Erik Johansson and Jesse Krohn allowed BMW Team Italia’s lineup to clinch the pole position on the BMW M6 GT3. They were 0.835s faster than Scuderia Baldini’s Ferrari 488 driven by Fisichella-Gai-Villeneuve.

The second row of the starting grid of the three-hours long race starting tomorrow at 14.10 will be occupied by the Lamborghini Huracan (Imperiale Racing) driven by Postiglione-Mul-Frassineti and the Mercedes AMG GT3 of Moissev-Rovera-Agostini (Antonelli Motorsport), while the third row will be occupied by the BMW M6 of Colombo-Linossi-Palma and the second Lamborghini Huracan run by Imperiale Racing for Perolini-Gersekowski-Pull.

Two Ferrari 488 will line up in the fourth row of the grid: that of Di Amato-Vezzoni (RS Racing) and that of Mann-Cressoni-Nielsen (AF Corse), that will lead the sister car driven by Mancinelli-Cioci-Veglia (Easy Race) which was penalized by some brake issues. The Lamborghini Huracan driven by Cazzaniga-Cazzaniga-Pirri (LP Racing) will follow. The Lamborghini Huracan of VSR driven by Kang-Tujula-Ortiz did not get on track for qualifying due to an exit during free practice.

The fastest time in GT Light was posted by the Lamborghini Huracan SuperTrofeo driven by Cristoni-Michelotto-Demarchi (Antonelli Motorsport) that proceeded the sister car run by Iron Linx for Paolino-Jirik-Bontempelli by 1”022s and the Porsche 991 of La Mazza-Nicolosi-Speakerwas (Duell Motorsport)

BMW colours have been leading the charts in GT4 too, as Fascicolo-Guerra-Fontana (BMW M4) were the quickest leading the Ginetta G55 driven by Magnoni-Schjerpen (Nova Race), the Porsche Cayman of Ghezzi-Chiesa-Ruberti (Nova Race) and the Maserati Gran Turismo of Cerqui-Pajuranta-Rodrigues (V-Action).

The race will start tomorrow at 14,10 and will be covered live on AutomotoTV (ch 228 SKY), while Raisport will show it recorded at 24.
