After the opener held in Monza last April, the Endurance Series of the Italian GT Championship 2019 will resume this coming weekend from the Misano World Circuit. Sixty drivers will make it onto the track behind the wheel of 21 cars in the three classes GT3, GT Light and GT4.

GT3: The highest class counts 12 cars on track, among which the BMW M6 GT3 that won the race of Monza with Comandini-Johansson-Krohn. The Brit Alexsander Sims will replace Jesse Krohn for this race in the Motors Racing Team’s lineup, but BMW Team Italia’s lineup will still be the one to beat. The top step of the podium will be contended by the four Ferrraris, starting from Scuderia Baldini’s with Jacques Villeneuve, Giancarlo Fisichella and Stefano Gai, that were particularly unlucky in the opening race of the season. Easy Race’s drivers Mancinelli-Cioci-Veglia will be behind the wheel of the 488 Evo. They came second in Monza, Di Amato-Vezzoni (RS Racing) and Mann-Cressoni-Nielsen (AF Corse) will also be present on Ferrari.

Lamborghini colors will be represented by four lineups, one of which is Imperiale Racing. The team based in Mirandola will compete again virtually with the same lineups of Monza: Vito Postiglione and Jeroen Mul, victorious in Vallelunga’s race-1 of the Sprint series, will have Alex Frassineti helping them, then Perolini-Gersekowski, third in Monza, will be sided by a third driver still to be defined. The Huracan Evo of Vincenzo Sospiri Racing will be driven by Kang-Tujula-Ortiz, while those of LP Racing will be driven by Cazzaniga brothers and by Luca Pirri.

Antonelli Motorsport will field two Mercedes AMG GT3 ready to repeat the great performance put in at Vallelunga with Riccardo Agostini and Alessio Rovera in the first race of the Sprint series. As in Monza, the two drivers will be sided by the Russian Alexander Moiseev, while the second car will be driven by Colombo-Linossi-Palma, that came fourth in the opener.

Class GT3 sees the new entry Audi in the Endurance Series. Following a good P3 in Vallelunga’s race-2 of Sprint, Audi Sport Italia will field the renewed R8 LMS at the Misano World Circuit for the 18 years old from Belgium Charles Weert, who will compete in the Blancpain GT Series this year and for the 26 years old from France Norman Nato, former ELMS.

GT LIGHT: The Lamborghini-Porsche duel will enliven this class. The cars from Sant’Agata Bolognese will be the Huracan Super Trofeo driven by Cristoni-Michelotto-Skaras (Antonelli Motorsport) and Paolino-Mantovani-Demarchi (Iron Lynx), while Porsche will be at the start with the 991 4.0 2nd generation with the colors of Duell Motorsport driven by La Mazza-Speakerwas-Carboni.

GT 4: Following the victory in Monza, the class entry level sees the Ginetta G55 as the favourite. Nova Race will field classification leaders Magnoni-Schjerpen, that will have to face the challenge of the Porsche Cayman 718 driven by Ghezzi-Chiesa-Camathias (Autorlando) and that of the BMW M4 driven by Fascicolo-Guerra-Fontana (BMW Team Italia-Ceccato Motors Racing Team), that were respectively second and third in the opener. The team led by Orlando Redolfi will field another Cayman for Cerati-Fondi. Ebimotors will line up a similar car for Paolo Gnemmi-Nicola Neri-Riccardo Pera. Enrico Borghi’s team comes from the double win in Vallelunga and brought back Riccardo Pera to the Italian Championship, who has been successfully competing in ELMS this year after winning it in 2016. GT4 entry list is completed by Francia-Becagli-Bernazzani on the Maserati Gran Turismo run by V-Action.
