Antonelli Motorsport’s pairing led the race from lights to flag dominating since the beginning with pole-sitter Rovera fending off Postiglione and Di Amato for the whole first stint. The race got more interesting when the safety car was deployed right before the opening of the pit window, which favoured the strategy of RS Racing with Vezzoni taking the lead from Agostini to Mul. At the restart, Antonelli Motorsport’s driver attacked the rival finding his way past him at the San Donato. Mul and Johansson did the same a few laps afterwards. Once in the lead, Agostini led a perfect race managing his direct rival for the title and claimed the second win of the season with co-equiper Rovera. They led Postiglione-Mul and the BMW M6 GT3 of Comandini-Johansson. After the victory in race-1, BMW Team Italia’s pairing got again on the podium thanks to a good first stint by Comandini that was always close to the front runners, and a flawless second stint by the Swede despite the handicap time served in the pits.

Fuoco-Hudspeth (Ferrari 488-AF Corse) ended a recovery race at the feet of the podium but as the first of PRO-AM. Following the first stint of the driver from Singapore, Fuoco managed to recover several places, the first of which at the end of a good duel with Vezzoni. The Italian and co-equiper Di Amato were second in PRO-AM and proceeded the Huracan run by Imperiale Racing for Perolini-Gersekowski, that came third in PRO-AM, the Mercedes AMG GT3 of Andrea Larini (Antonelli Motorsport), the Ferrari 488 of Mann-Cioci (AF Corse) and the Huracan of Cuneo Magnoni (LP Racing) followed, the latter being the first of AM.

The Audi R8 LMS (Audi Sport Italia) driven by Fontana-Kaffer was hit by bad luck and had to retire due to a puncture in the closing stages when the German driver was fighting for P4 with the Ferrari 488 of Veglia-Casè (Easy Race) that ended their race in the gravel trap on lap 12 after a contact with Hudspeth. Nicola Baldan (Mercedes AMG GT3-Antonelli Motorsport) also had to retire on lap 10 due to a puncture when holding P7.

GT LIGHT

The fifth win of the season allowed Lippi-Sernagiotto to get one step closer to the title in this class. The RAM/Iron Lynx pairing dominated the season since the opening round and won race-2 in Mugello. Lippi started the race from the lead and did not concede the position for the whole stint, handing the car over to his co-equiper Sernagiotto who did not have too many problems taking the car to the flag on top leading Mattia Michelotto, the 16 years old driver that won race-1 yesterday. The young driver of Antonelli Motorsport on Lamborghini Huracan ST proceeded the sister car run by Iron Lynx for Paolino-Jirik.

GT 4

After the victory of the Porsche Cayman of Riccitelli-De Castro in race-1, race-2 went BMW Team Italia’s ways with Giuseppe Fascicolo and Francesco Guerra, that reopened the title fight in this way before the closing races in Monza. The final of this race has been very exciting after Guerra found his way past poleman Riccitelli, handing the M4 GT4 over to his co-equiper in the lead. At the restart after the safety car, Fascicolo closed in on De Castro as the latter had to concede his position to the rival. At the last corner, the driver from Treviso got the lead back though, thanks to a nice overtaking move on Ebimotors’ driver and rewarded BMW with the second win of the season. The podium was rounded off by Ghezzi-Camathias (Porsche Cayman-Autorlando) that strengthened the third place in the classification where they lead the Ginetta G55 of Luca Magnoni (Nova Race), the Porsche Cayman of Ebimotors di Piccioli-Costa, the Maserati Gran Turismo of Piotr and Antoni Chodzen (SVC S.M.), the Porsche Cayman and Cerati-Chiesa (Autorlando) and the second Ginetta G55 of Nova Race driven by Marchetti-Mantori.
