In Vallelunga, BMW Team Italia-Ceccato Motors Racing Team’s drivers will be joined again, as in Misano, by the British driver Alexander Sims.

Among the latter, the former protagonist of several editions of the Italian series, Alessandro Balzan, will get on track in the Ferrari 488 of Easy Race alongside Marco Cioci and Lorenzo Veglia, that are currently third in the standings, while the 18 years old Belgian Charles Weerts, already present in Misano, will share driving duties with his fellow-countryman Mike Den Tandt in the Audi R8 LMS run by Audi Sport Italia. The new entry to join the series is the Ferrari 488 fielded by the German team Rinaldi Racing for the Russians Rinat Salikhov and Denis Bulkatov and the South African David Perel, who was already present in the 2015 edition of the Italian Championship.

The Ferrari 488 lot will be completed by Fisichella-Gai-Villeneuve (Scuderia Baldini), Di Amato-Vezzoni (RS Racing) and Mann-Cressoni-Nielsen (AF Corse), while the Lamborghini flag will be raised high not only by classification leaders Postiglione-Mul-Frassineti but also by Perolini-Gersekowski-Zonzini (Imperiale Racing) and Cazzaniga-Cazzaniga-Pirri (LP Racing).

The entry list of the highest class is completed by the two Mercedes AMG GT3 of Antonelli Motorsport driven by Colombo-Linossi-Palma and Moiseev-Rovera-Agostini, that are ready to make up some ground in the classification after the good results pulled in the Sprint series.
