Paolo Andreucci and Anna Andreussi, on Peugeot 207 Super 2000 win the 24th Rally San Crispino - Città di Gubbio

16/07/2011 - This success awards the Tuscany driver with the Italian Drivers title and Peugeot with the Constructors title.

Paolo Andreucci and Anna Andreussi, Peugeot 207 Super 2000, won the il 24th Rally of San Crispino - Città di Gubbio, race organized by Rubicone corse and valid for the sixth round of the Italian Rally Championship and fourth round of the Rally Terra Trophy. The Tuscan driver and the Friulan navigator obtained therefore the drivers Italian title also awarding Peugeot with the constructors' one. Andreucci, at his sixth success in six races this season, was already Italian champion - for the sixth time - at the end of day one due to the retirement of his closest rivals Rossetti on Abarth and Scandola on Ford.

As regarding the Rally Terra Trophy, the success went to Andrea Aghini and Massimiliano Cerrai who, thanks to this result, obtained the leadership in the classification. The third absolute place and second in the Rally Terra went to Daniele Batistini. This result allowed the Italian driver to get the third place of the classification of the series.

Good race for Andrea Perego, on Mini of Grifone, who was very fast at the debut on dirt roads and often setting times very close to those of the frontrunners. Behind Mini's driver was Gianfranco Cunico, second in the race among the CIR entered drivers that thanks to this result obtained the second place in the absolute classification equalling the points scored by Scandola and Rossetti

Very good fight in the Italian Production Championship among Mitsubishi drivers. With Marco Angrisani, when he was classification leader, retiring yesterday, the duel inflamming the race was that between Fabio Gianfico and Antonio Pascale, with the first ending up as winner and getting the championship classification as well. Pascale won the round of the Castrol Evulation Cup round.
In the two wheeled drive, Citroen Team Italy scored a one two with Simone Campedelli proceeding Andrea Crugnola on his Citroen Ds3R3.
