16/04/2011 - Paolo Andreucci and Anna Andreussi on Peugeot 207 Super 2000 won the 35th Rally 1000 Miglia, second round of the Italian Rally Championship and first round of the European Rally Championship. The Italian driver of Peugeot Italy, and the navigator Anna Andreussi, strenghten in this way their leadership in the Italian Championship thanks to the second victory in two races held so far. After a first stage all-attack, ended with a good margin on the rivals, Andreucci wisely administered the advantage today until the end. As in the first race of the series, Luca Rossetti on Abarth Grande Punto was second but was never in condition of attacking his rival. The third place was obtained by the Skoda of Renato Travaglia who is not entered in the Italian Championship and therefore left the points awarded to the third driver to Alessandro Perico, author of a good recover in the second stage after a first one affected by setup problems.
The victory in the Italian Rally Junior Championship went to Simone Campedelli who awarded the first victory of the series to the debuting Ds3 R3 of Citroen Team Italy. Second, but far in terms of the Italian Championship, was the young Andrea Nucita, Renault, strenghtening his leadership in the championship. Behind them ended Marco Signor who recovered after a stage one full of problems.
Problem-less victory for Marco Angrisani on Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X, in the Production championship who led the group from lights to flag.
