24/03/2012 - Umberto Scandola and Guido D' Amore put in their best effort on the Skoda Fabia Super2000 of Skoda Italy Motorsport, but as foreseen, the 35th Rally of Ciocco and Valle del Serchio has been won by the lineup Andreucci-Andreussi racing on the works Peugeot 207 Super2000.

The second step of the podium went, as said to the Skoda crew that tried to attack the pace of the Tuscan driver. The third place of the podium went to Alessandro Perico, with co-driver Carrara, behind the wheel of a Peugeot 207 Super2000 lined up by team PA Racing that confirmed all their quality. From the others, good confirmation for Gamba-Inglesi who managed to use at best the Peugeot 207 Super2000 belonging to Team Balbosca, while Sciessere-Orian on the Renault Clio Super1600 of Top Team ended in fifth absolute place. Sixth was the lineup of Citroen Italy Campedelli-Fappani, that also are on top of the important classification of the Italian Junior Championship.

The seventh place was obtained by Ferrarotti-Fenoli, that managed to bring home the first place in the Italian Production Championship on their Renault Megane RS.

Nucita-Princiotto follow eighth absolute, on the Citroen C2 of R2B of Vieffe Corse, a result placing them on the honour step of the Junior tricolored championship, while the ninth place was obtained by Nannini-Pecchioli on Abarth Grande Punto Super2000. The Top ten was completed by the good Gabriele Cogni, with Silvia Mazzetti at the notes, on Citroen DS3 of BP Racing. The last note regards Andrea Carella, and co-driver Ilaria Riolfo, who, thanks to the Renault New Twingo of Power Car Team, obtained the eleventh absolute place that was also worth the victory in the Twingo R2 Gordini Top Trophy.

To wrap the first round up, a good first win for Andreucci but the Italian rally championship has often reserved surprises. This is what the rivals of the reigning champion hope at least. Some answers might come in the next round of the CIR, the Rally 1000 Miles next 19-21 April.
