Osimo ready to welcome Rally Adriatico

The third round of CIR will celebrate the twentieth anniversary with a new location. Headquarters and finish line to be set in Cingoli, Service Parck in Jesi. Validity also for TRT, Italian Cross Country and Zone Challenge.

SALUDECIO (Rimini), 15 April 2013 – Rally Adriatico is quickly heading towards is twentieth edition, scheduled for coming17 – 18 May as the third round of the Italian Rally Championship – second of the Rally Terra Trophy – and proudly having Italian validity for the Cross Conutry Championship. The rally will also be valid for the Zone Challenge and for the ERMS (Emilia Romagna Marche and San Marino) Championship.

This is going to be a partially renewed edition for Rally Adriatico, as the organizer PRS Group devised a new starting location in Osimo's Piazza del Comune, after which the first stage will take place in the industrial quarters. The classic "spectacle-aperitif” scheduled for the evening of the 17 May has been devised to please the local group of fans as the town council individuated Rally Adriatico as an effective way of promoting the territory.

The Rally will set off from Osimo, the town placed on the Gomero hill that separates the valleys of Musone and Esino known as Auximon in Roman period. Osimo is well known for the misterious head-less statues located in the Palazzo Municipale. The reason for them to be head-less is still unknown but they are likely to be the result of gash after the siege of year 400. Most of these statues were probably decorating public buildings in Roman times.

The race will go through the places touched by the race in recent times and the chequered flag will be waved in Cingoli, town that has been granting a functional logistic (the headquarters will be placed here too) and a unique welcome for several years now. The rally will also involve the town of Jesi, that will be the location of Service Park.

The 20th Rally Adriatico will build a rally-twinning between the three towns that will join forces to emphasize the beauties of the places that will house the race.

The race is heading to the final stages with the entry opening scheduled for Thursday 18 April, the deadline for entries is set to 8 May.
