Cingoli, 18 May 2013 - Umberto Scandola and Guido d'Amore obtained the victory in the 20th Rally Adriatico, third round of the Italian Rally Championship and second of the Italian Gravel Trophy. The Verones of Skoda got the first win of the season as well as the lead of the tricolored series.
Scandola got the lead of the race since the beginning keeping at due distance the main rivals in the title fight, starting from Giandomenico Basso and Alessandro Perico as both had to retire due to an incident. Behind the first were on the rampage Mauro Trentin, second, and the driver from Brescia Stefano Albertini, on the third step of the podium, both on a Peugeot 207 Super 2000. Good performance for Renato Travaglia, very quick on his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, he has been very fast and set times close to those of the front runners until a problem that slowed him down in the second half of the race and forced him to finish fourth absolute but first in the Italian Gravel Trophy. Several specialists of gravel races ended very close to the podium. Among the others, Luigi Ricci, Subaru Impreza, confirmed his leadership in the Italian Gravel Trophy, Massimiliano Tonso, Ford Fiesta Super 2000, second in the Trophy's standings. Between them was the very good eighteen-years-old from South Africa Henk Lategan on Skoda Fabia Super 2000.

The Rally Adriatico turned out to be quite a selective race but still remarkable were the performances of Simone Campedelli, Citroen Ds3, first of the drivers competing in the Production Championship and of Paolo Andreucci, Peugeot 208 R2. The two set very competitive times ending also in third and fourth place of the Italian Rally Championship, behind Scandola and Albertini.
In the Italian Rally Junior, the category reserved to the young tricolored talents, the success went to the Peugeot 208 R2 driven by Andrea Carella, from the Twingo of Andrea Crugnola, winner of the Renault Twingo R2 Top Trophy to the Ford Fiesta driven by Giuseppe Testa. In the Citroen Racing Trophy the victory went to the French Sebastien Chardonnet, who was also ninth in the absolute classification ahead of Simone Campedelli and Andrea Nucita. With the latter gaining the leadership of the Italian Production Championship. In the Renault New Clio R3 Trophy the victory went to Paolo Diana.
