Peugeot Italia'd drivers will have the great chance to compete against the best drivers in the world in one of the most challenging races in the world rally championship calendar.
Paolo Andreucci: "This is the Peugeot gift for my 50th birthday. I do not hide that I am excited. After a long career like mine, competing in a long and challenging rally like the World Rally Championship is a kind of a debut. It is going to be quite complicated and difficult. Certainly the mechanics and engine of our 208 T16 will be challenged. The itinerary is very long and selective with its 400kms of stages it is nearly three times a round of the Italian Championship on gravel. We will have to take a wise approach keeping an eye to the final classification. Gravel roads of Sardinia can be quite tricky, we start with a high number, 48, and the surface is going to be quite damaged by the previous passages. Hot weather and the difficult stages will be a further challenge for the car and for tires. I think it is going to be an elimination race with a particularly tough Saturday: 212 timed km including the longest stages of the rally: Coiluna-Loelle of about 37 km and Monte Lerno of more than 42 km".

The birthday card from the team has been delivered to the Tuscan champion with a video made by the whole team https://youtu.be/WsyQCEm85m4
