18/03/2016 – The spectacle power stage held this evening has kicked off the 39th Rally Il Ciocco and Valle Del Serchio – first act of the Italian Rally Championship – in the city center of Forte dei Marmi.

In the first timed stage, Giandomenico Basso-Lorenzo Granai on Ford Fiesta R5 and Paolo Andreucci-Anna Andreussi on Peugeot 208 T16 R5 posted the same time. Behind the two crews of BRC and Peugeot Italia, the Veronese Umberto Scandola on Skoda Fabia R5 is half a second shy of the leaders.
The fourth place went to the Italian from Bergamo Alessandro Perico, who was followed by Michele Tassone both on Peugeot 208 T16 R5.

Things are going to get serious from tomorrow on. The start from Ciocco is set for local 6 am. The first leg will be valid also for the drivers of the regional championship with coefficient 2.5. Saturday 19 March is going to be an intense racing day starting at 6.00 am and will reach its conclusion at 20.15 after a total the twelve stages run on Massarossa, Renaio, Il Ciocco, Careggine, Molazzana and Noi Tv.
The finish line at Ciocco is scheduled for local 20.00.
