The rain, mud and often very thick fog drew up the final classifications made by a lot of mistakes but also of great drives. The Finn Jari Huttunen and co-driver Micco Lukka claimed a well-deserved victory in the works Hyundai i20, but the rally saw a lot of big guns of CIR retiring like Andrea Crugnola in the Citroen C3 R5 of FPF Sport, and Giandomenico Basso, Volkswagen Polo run by HK Racing, that postponed their fight for the title in the closing rally. Some of the best drivers of CIWRC like Simone Miele, together with Roberto Mometti in the Citroen DS3 Wrc, and Luca Rossetti with Manuel Fenoli in the Hyundai i20 R5 retired too, as Rudy Michelini and Michele Perna in the VW Polo R5 entered in CIRA.

A real battle was fought in all the classifications and eventually, the skills of the Finn driver on slippery surfaces was rewarded, as the qualities of Umberto Scandola and Giudo D’Amore in the Hyundai i20 R5, that were second overall and first of the CIR. Stefano Albertini and Danilo Fappani were third in their Skoda Fabia R5, a result that earned them the first place in CIRA and the victory of the Italian Championship on tarmac reserved for privateers. Corrado Fontana and Nicola Arena, Hyundai i20 WRC, won the CIWRC at the end of a strong season.
