Enzo Fittipaldi (Prema Theodore Racing) conquers two victories and one third place in the first appointment of the Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth at Adria International Raceway. The Brazilian has had to battle continuously with the Italian Leonardo Lorandi (Bhai Tech Racing), who has concluded the weekend with one victory and two second positions. The challenge between the two drivers has seen them battle in all three races, with competition reaching its peak in the last race, when Fittipaldi has resisted from the attacks of Lorandi, always very close, but also helped by the Safety Car that has eliminated the small gap conquered by Fittipaldi on the upcoming Italian driver, who had started from fourth position on the grid.

On the podium of the three races we also find Javier Gonzalez (Jenzer Motorsport), Gianluca Petecof (Prema Theodore Racing), by the way also participating to the Rookie Trophy, and Federico Malvestiti (Jenzer Motorsport).

In the Rookie Trophy, reserved to those drivers who have not participated to more than three racing weekends before the start of the Championship, Gianluca Petecof has been definitely the strongest driver with three wins out of three. On the podium of the Rookie Trophy also Umberto Laganella (Cram Motorsport), Niklas Krutten (BWT Muecke Motorsport), Petr Ptacek (Bhai Tech Racing) and Ido Cohen (BWT Muecke Motorsport).

Amna Al Qubaisi (Prema Theodore Racing), year 2000, born in Abu Dhabi, one of the 17 Rookie drivers, only girl in the competition and, even more relevant, the first female driver in the history of International Motorsports (source Prema Theodore Racing), has started negatively in race 1, going out of track, but has done quite a good job in race 2 (12°) and race 3 (17°), considering the full line up of 31 drivers, and also the fact she has actually started racing in karting only recently at 14 years of age. Amna has been on the podium due to the Women Trophy: “My aim, as for all drivers of this Championship, is F1, but for the moment I have to increase my experience.”

Even though 31 drivers filled the Adria International Raceway to its maximum limit, the first appointment of 2018 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth has seen no organizational problem nor issue with safety of the young talents coming from all over the world.

Next appointment will be on the 12th and 13th of May at Le Castellet in France.
