17/07/2018 – Actually up to 12 teams and almost 30 drivers of the Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth have participated to tests on the Italian track of Imola, last 11th and 12th of July, preparing for the 5th appointment of 2018 Championship, that will take place in such circuit on the 28th and 29th of July.  Teams present at the tests have been: Prema Theodore Racing, Bhai Tech Racing, DR Formula, Jenzer Motorsport, Muecke Motorsport, Cram Motorsport, BVM Racing, Technorace, AS Motorsport, Scuderia DF Corse, Technorace and Diegi Motorsport. Also F3 cars have participated to the tests.

Final classification of the due days of testing has seen great performance by Jenzer Motorsport, present with up to 5 drivers, among which best absolute lap time has been set by Giorgio Carrara, with 1’44”652. An interesting lap time, even though in these tests of course each team and driver has had his own strategy, with variable quantity of fuel and more or less worn tyres.

Information on one of the Fomularo twins, Anthony, is obligatory, as he has had, on the second day, in the last session of the afternoon, a bad accident in the Acque Minerali turns, braking two vertebra that, unfortunately, will keep him out of competition for 6 months.

Attached the pdf files of the four test sessions of the two days, two per day.
