The eighth season of the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth Certified by FIA will start on May 16 at the French circuit of Le Castellet. The Italian preparatory series, born in 2014 at the behest of the FIA and first launched by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion, is ready to start with another record season. A series from which, the current Formula 1 drivers Lance Stroll, winner of the first edition, Lando Norris, protagonist in three events in 2015 and Mick Schumacher, second in the championship in 2016, began their journey.

Already 35 single-seaters have entered the championship with drivers from 18 different nations, spread over 3 continents. And 12 teams are ready to battle on 7 different tracks, 5 of which have hosted and are hosting Formula 1 races. Confirmations and news in the provisional entry list: Prema Powerteam’s cars are ready for Sebastian Montoya, Kirill Smal, Conrad Laursen and Hamda Al Qubaisi. BWT Muecke Motorsport, on the other hand, will field a trident formed by Joshua Durksen, Erick Zuniga and Jonas Ried. 5 Tatuus F.4 T-014 for Van Amersfoort Racing entrusted to Joshua Dufek, Nikita Bedrin, Cenyu Han, Bence Valint and Oliver Bearman. Trident also for Iron Lynx with Leonardo Fornaroli, Pietro Armanni and Maya Weung, the first girl included in the Ferrari Driver Academy. AKM Motorsport will be on track with Levente Revesz and Lorenzo Patrese, while Cram Motorsport has announced Vittorio Catino, Nicolas Baptiste and the Greek Georgios Markogiannis. But the list of young drivers who will start for the 2021 season is constantly updated about a three weeks before the official start of the season at Paul Ricard.. 

After the inaugural round of Le Castellet, the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth will be hosted in Misano on June 6 and in Vallelunga on the 27th of the same month. Last round, before the summer break, will be at the Imola’s Enzo e Dino Ferrari Circuit on 25 July. On 12 September, the Red Bull Ring will host the young drivers aboard the Abarth-powered Tatuus and Pirelli tires, before the Grand Finale in October which will see the preparatory series tackle the circuits of Mugello (10 October) and Monza (31 October).
