Rome - 12th May 2021- The hunting for the title of the 2021 Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth Certified by FIA will start in France, with 37 Tatuus  powered by Abarth and tyred Pirelli deployed at the start of the preparatory series that, during the years, has gained more and more importance in the international motor environment. The hall of fame is really clear with Lance Stroll, Ralf Aron, Marcos Siebert, Marcus Armstrong, Enzo Fittipaldi, Dennis Hauger and Gabriele Minì, who have already signed the first step for the success. Indeed, there are several drivers, who starting from the Italian F.4, have arrived till Formula one. Beyond Lance Stroll, who won the first edition of 2014, even Lando Norris and Mick Schumaker have moved their first steps in the series wanted by FIA and launched by ACI Sport and WSK. 

On the French track of Paul Ricard there will be 37 single-seaters that will compete one against the other in the first appointment of the season, scheduled from Firday 14th to Sunday 16th May. 18 nationalities represented from 4 different continents and 12 teams are ready to compete in a season which could be defined as engaging already from the first kilometres. 5 is the number of cars for the title team holder and winner of 5 editions, Prema Powerteam who deploys Sebastian Montoya, in addition to the Russian Krill Smal, the Danish Conrad Laursen and Hamda Al Qubaisi, in great growth after the UAE series experience raced at the beginning of the year. 5 cars also for the Duch team Van Amersfoort Racing, winner of the team trophy in 2019. They will entrust their Tauutus to the Paraguayan Joshua Dufek, the Russian Nikita Bedrin, the Chinese Cenyu Han, the Hungarian Bence Valint and to the Britain Oliver Bearman, who has shown to be in great shape last weeks during the tests. Powerful trident for the German team BWT Muecke Motorsport who is bringing on track the expert Joshua Durksen, the Mexican Erick Zuniga and Jonas Ried. More and more protagonist Jenzer Motorsport, involved in the Italian F.4  championship since the first edition, the Swiss team will start with the Polish Piotr Wisnicki, the Swiss Samir Ben, the Mexicans Jorge Garciarce Davila and Santiago Ramos Reynoso and the Italian sixteen-years-old Francesco Braschi. Big expectations for Iron Lynxs team who, next to the two Italians Leonardo Fornaroli and Pietro Armanni, will bring on track Maya Weug, the first girl involved in the Ferrari Driver Academy, arrived at Maranello after the selections of the FIA Women in Motorsport program. International line-up for Cram Motorsport with the Italian Vittorio Catino, the French Nicolas Baptiste, the Moroccan Suleiman Zanfari and the Greek Georgios Markoggiannis. Interesting even the AKM Motorsport’s couple composed of the Hungarian Levente Revesz and Lorenzo Patrese, who has been the protagonist during the second part of the 2020 season.  Italian-Swiss trio for BVM Racing with Francesco Simonazzi, in his second F4 year, flanked by Leonardo Bizzotto and Eron Rexhepi. The Portuguese Pedro Perino will be the flag-bearer for  DR Formula, while the Polish Kacper Sztuka will compete on track with the Tatuus of AS motorsport. Even the Germans from US Racing team will be involved in this first race of the season with Luke Browning, Tim Tramnitz e Vlad Lomko, while for the home race, R-ACE GP will deploy a French trio composed by Marcus Amand, Victor Bernier e Sami Meguetounifi.

The official start of the 2021 season is scheduled on Friday 14th May at 9.57 a.m., when the green lights will be turned on for the first session of free practice. At 2.08 p.m. it will take place the second round of timed practice on the French track of Le Castellet. Saturday at 9.00 a.m. the first qualification session of the season will start with two rounds made of 15’’ interspersed with a break of 10’’. Green lights for the first 2021 race Saturday 15th May at 2.00 p.m.. Double race on Sunday 16 with the start scheduled at 10.50 a.m. and 4.10 p.m..

All the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth Certified by FIA races will be broadcasted live with the Italian commentary on ACI Sport TV (Sky Channel 228) and streamed on ACI Sport TV’s and ACI Sport Facebook pages.
