5 teams at Vallelunga with the single-seaters of the Formula Regional

5 teams have tested the new Tatuus F3 T-318 single-seater built for the Formula Regional European Championship certified by FIA. Tests have taken place last Wednesday and Thursday on the ACI circuit of Vallelunga, Autodromo Piero Taruffi. Prema Powerteam, KIC Motorsport, JD Motorsport, DR Formula by RP Motorsport and US Racing have participated with total 9 cars. The two days have represented a chance for the running in and first development of the new single-seaters and also understanding of the car and tyres by the drivers. Comments have been unanimous in saying that the Tatuus F3 T-318 powered Alfa Romeo is an excellent step forward after the experience on the F4, and that the car is extremely nice to drive.

 

 

International presence of drivers, starting from the winner of the 2018 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth, the Brazilian Enzo Fittipaldi, still with Prema Powerteam, together with team-mate, the English Olli Caldwell, third in 2018, and the Danish Frederik Vesti, also coming from the Italian F4. With US Racing, whose drivers participating to the Formula Regional European Championship are still being confirmed, where present David Schumacher, son of Ralf Schumacher and nephew of the 7 times World F1 Champion Michael Schumacher, and the German Julian Hanses. Also present at the tests KIC Motorsport with two Tatuus F3 T-318, driven by the Finnish Konsta Lappalainen and the Swedish Isac Blomqvist, while DR Formula by RP Motorsport has participated with the Mexican Raul Guzman, and JD Motorsport with the Belgian Ugo De Wilde.

Even though not particularly relevant, the best lap times in the two days have been set by Frederik Vesti on the second and last session of Thursday, with 1’28”695, followed by David Schumacher, with 1’28”778, while third, with a time set on the second session of Wednesday, Enzo Fittipaldi, with 1’28”764.
