First day on the Hungaroring circuit ends for the Formula Regional European Championship certified by FIA.  The morning free practice session sees high temperatures both for air and asphalt, respectively 27.2° and 43.8° centigrade, with leaders David Schumacher (US Racing), with best lap time of 1’40.119, just in front of the Danish of Prema Powerteam, Frederik Vesti, who follows with a small gap of 0.024. Third is Sophia Floersch (Van Amersfoort Racing) with a best lap of 1:40.228 (+0.109 from Schumacher).

In the afternoon session heat grows, and the sun contniues to hit the Hungaroring track. In such conditions it is Frederik Vesti to obtain the fastest lap with 1’40.036. Fast i salso Fittipaldi, just behinf his teammate with 1’40.120. Behind the English Olli Caldwell (1’40.138), with the first three all by Prema Powerteam. Behind them Igor Fraga (DR Formula) with 1’40.258, Siebert (1’40.392) and Schumacher (1’40.678). The German this time is slower compared to session 1 and is finally seventh, just in front of his compatriot Sophia Floersch (1’40.738).
