Starting from season2021, Toyota Motor Italia will introduce the new single-make championship GR Yaris Rally Cup. This competition follows the great success that team Toyota Gazoo Racing is having in motorsport worldwide.

The GR Yaris is going to be the protagonist of the championship, it is the perfect car to enter into the single-make competition as it moves from the experience built by team Toyota Gazoo Racing in the World Rally Championship.
Built on a unique platform aimed at reducing its weight to the minimum, the GR Yaris is pushed by the most powerful 1.6 litres three-cylinder turbo engine in the world that is capable of 261 Bhp and a torque of 360 Nm that allows it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5s.
The power of the engine is exploited by the new 4WD permanent traction system GR-FOUR by Toyota. The setup is completed by the Torsen LSD differential that autonomously manages the partition of the traction on the left-right axle to deliver a natural and direct response.
The GR Yaris used for the championship is derived from the road car launched at the end of the year. A special racing kit will be devised to allow teams to prepare the car according to the national R1T 4WD regulations.
The single-make championship by Toyota Motor Italia will provide the participants with an opportunity to show their talent and improve their results, which is one of the principles of Toyota Gazoo Racing that is oriented to the development of people.

The total money-prize is worth 300.000€ and will be divided into race prizes and final prizes. It will also include special care for participating Teams.

The GR Yaris Rally Cup will be the perfect platform to show Toyota’s commitment to go beyond every limit to build the best cars ever. The extreme conditions of motorsport are the ideal ground to experiment with new technical solutions, the best of which will be translated on to road cars.
