The Dolomites, with their valleys and mountain passes represent some of the most beautiful places among Unesco World Heritage sites. We must preserve, maintain and enjoy them, and, moreover, live them, even with sport events like Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti. The history of motor racing was written also on the streets of the Dolomites and Cortina d’Ampezzo, which is the Pearl of this territory, where, 72 years ago, everything began.

Starting from tomorrow, Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti, the greatest event of the Automobile Club Belluno and the gem of the Automobile Club Italia, in partnership with ACI Storico, will kick-off from the centre of Cortina, but today is still a welcome day, dedicated to the checks of cars and papers. Today is so dedicated the preparation of the “Mille Miglia of the Mountains”, as it was called at the end of the ‘40s, when the speed race through the Dolomites started, and now that same challenge is participated as regularity race drivers from three different continents and many Italian star players.
