From the far Japan is the wonderful 1952 OSCA Mt4 Frua, a car that won the Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti in the ’50s, to be crowned winner of this year Contest of Elegance, during the international event held in the beautiful Dolomite landscapes. The jury, composed by the famous collector, the architect Corrado Lopresto, and the Director of Ruote Classiche, a magazine that represents one of the main references in the heritage sector, David Giudici, awarded the OSCA for the exceptional rarity of the model, its historical victory of the Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti and the perfection of the restoration, in addition to the pleasure of confering the award to a crew coming from so far. Second place for the 1955 Merced-Benz 300 SL “gullwings”, of the all-female crew Maria Bussolati and Simona Tironi, while the third to be awarded was the 1957 Lancia Aurelia B20 GT, of the crew composed by Stefano Valente and Charlotte Magaraggia.

“The Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti is a very known event also in Japan and every enthusiast wishes to participate”, commented Kimura Hidemoto and Kurosawa Tetsu. The two of the Japanese team also said “events like Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti and Targa Florio are spectacular moments of beauty and competition, with different and exciting landscapes, from the Dolomites to the Sicilian sea, that represent and enhance the beauty and notoriety of such a beautiful country like Italy”.
