Balance test of performance for GT Cup Class cars at Vallelunga

10/03/2011 – With the opening of the Italian Grand Touring cars Championship next 17 April in Vallelunga approaching fast, a testing session has been held on the track near Rome to balance the performance of the cars taking part in the GT Cup class. At the end of the test the permanent Csai Bureau decided that:

Ferrari 430 Challenge Cup (year, up to 2010)
Minimum weight: Kg. 1.310

Lamborghini Gallardo Cup (year, up to 2010)
Minimum weight: Kg. 1.320, with 53 mms wide restrictors and new breaking system from Lamborghini 2011 Trophy.

Porsche 997 GT3 Cup (year, up to 2009)

On Porsche 997 GT3 cars from years 06-07-08-09, and in dispensation of what in the current technical regulation, the following modifications will be allowed:

Porsche 997 GT3 Cup 06 and 07
Engine: Chance to replace the aspiration manifold and the butterfly as in the models Porsche 997 GT3 Cup 08 and 09
Gears: Chance to replace the gear ratios of 5th and 6th gears as in the models Porsche 997 GT3 Cup 08 and 09

Porsche 997 GT3 Cup 06-07 -08 -09:
On all the models, an ABS system provided by Bosch and a rear wing and its bearing as in the model Porsche 997 GT3 Cup MY10 will be allowed.
These cars will have a minimum weight of Kg. 1.165.

The cars will be allowed to fit, in addition to what aforementioned, front fenders, rear bumpers, front stability rod and rims as in the model Porsche 997 GT3 MY 10. In this case, the minimum weight will be Kg 1.200.
