Vallelunga: drivers' quotes

Marco Bonanomi (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia): "We started on the right foot and we could not have a better season open. Andrea and I managed to keep the right rhythm that allowed us to win, thanks also to a great work from the team. Let's hope to keep this momentum in all the races".

Andrea Sonvico (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia): "Very good, we could not have asked for more in this debut round. The stint in race 2 has been more difficult than expected as Dindo was very fast and my tyres were not in perfect conditions. I also found a lot of traffic on track and I was lagged by 5 or 6 seconds but I administered the advantage and everything went well. Thanks again to Audi Sport Italy."

Matteo Malucelli (Ferrari F 430-Scuderia 27-Baldini Mode): "Lamborghinis are uncatchable, we made what we could and the two second make us hopeful. We are now waiting for Misano's round where we hope for a more leveled performance balance among the various cars racing in the championship".

Giacomo Piccini (Lamborghini Gallardo-Mik Corse): "The car was perfect and team made a great job. Stefano gave me the car in first position and, exception made for a little mistake I made at the beginning, all went fine. I believe we will be in the top positions for the whole championship”.

Stefano Livio (Lamborghini Gallardo-Mik Corse): "After the bad luck of race one, everything went fine in race two; the car did not have problems and I saved on tyres without pushing too hard to give Giacomo the car with the maximum possible efficiency. The Gallardo behaved well from lights to flag and my thanks go the the whole team".

Giorgio Sanna (Lamborghini Gallardo-Team Imperiale): “There could not be a better start. Pole and victory in race one at the debut with a new team gives morale. It was crucial to start on the right foot because the championship this year is going to be very difficult as there are very competitive drivers, cars and teams".

Tiziano Cappelletti (Ginetta G 50-Nova Race): "Race one's start has been a podium one and in the initial laps I glued my car to Lasagni's back. Then he had an engine problem and I found myself leading the race. My team mate then managed very well the situation until the chequered flag. In race two we also recovered the time penalty served in the pits and we did not have too many problems taking Donativi and Brambati's Cayman".

Victor Coggiola (Porsche RSR-Victor Porsche): "We did not start the season very well, considering that we discovered a suspension problem not fixable on tack during practice. Therefore we run a hugely penalyzed car but tried anyway to give our best. We count on solving the technical problems at our factory and to do much better since the next race in Misano".
