04/06/2011 - The second round of the Italian GT Championship started with the victory in race one to the crew made by Mario Cordoni and Paolo Ruberti (Autorlando Sport, Porsche 911 GT3 R, GT3), followed by Andrea Sonvico and Marco Bonanomi (Audi Sport Italia, Audi R8 LMS, GT3). The third step of the podium was secured by Alberto Cola and Alessandro Cicognani (Audi Sport Italia, Audi R8 LMS, GT3).

GT CUP's victory went to Salvatore Tavano and Simone Iacone (Petri Corse, Porsche 997 Cup), that proceeded Andrea Gagliardini and Christian Passuti (Porsche 997 Cup); third place for Davide Stancheris and Giorgio Sanna (Autocarrozzeria Imperiale, Lamborghini Gallardo).

In GT2, race one was won by Ferdinando Geri and Claudio Rossetto (Vittoria Competizioni, Ferrari F430 GT2) with second place to Victor Coggiola and Giovanni Coggiola (Porsche 997), while in GT4 Manuel Lasagni and Piero Foglio (Ginetta G50) topped the charts ahead of Marco Cassera and Gianluca De Lorenzi (Ginetta G50); the podium was completed by Tiziano Cappelletti and Stefano Pozzi (Ginetta G50).

The weekend's programme will end tomorrow with race two, starting at 16.10 (local time, GMT+2).
