Misano, Vito Postiglione (Porsche GT3R) gets the first pole of the season

Ebimotors driver managed to set the quickest lap at the end of a very tight first session of the Italian GT season opener, leading the other Porsche of Marco Mapelli and the Lamborghini Gallardo driven by Giacomo Barri.

The first pole position of the 11th edition of the Italian GT Championship started today from the Misano World Circuit. Team Ebimotors' driver clocked a 1'36.047 on his Porsche GT3R which will grant him with the pole position of race-1 scheduled for tomorrow.

Postiglione will have on his side the twin car of Antonelli Motorsport driven by Marco Mapelli  (1'36.362), who was second quickest, while the second row of the grid will be occupied by the Lamborghini Gallardo (Team Imperiale) driven by Giacomo Barri (1'36.971) and the Ferrari 458 Italia (Black Bull Swisse Racing) of Tommaso Maino (1'37.071).

The Ferrari 458 Italia (MP1 Corse) driven by Gabriele Lancieri (1'37.095) and theAudi R8 LMS (Audi Sport Italia) of Andrea Sonvico (1'37.303) will follow in third row, procceding the BMW Z4 of Stefano Comandini (1'37.445) and the Lamborghini Gallardo (Mik Events) driven by Luca Rangoni (1'37.771).

Fifth row for Michela Cerruti (1'38.007) on the second BMW Z4 and for Piero Necchi (1'39.069) who will be racing on the Corvette Z06 belonging to RC Motorsport, while Johan Kristoffersson (Audi R8 LMS) did not manage to complete a lap after a slight contact in the initial stages with Stefano Comandini.

Marco Magli (1'41.339) on the Porsche 997 lined up byAntonelli Motorsport will be the first of the GT Cup drivers as he proceeded his team mate Omar Galbiati (1'42.981).

Race 1 (48 minutes + 1lap) will start tomorrow at 9.00 (GMT+1) with live coveage on Raisport 2 and web streaming at www.acisportitalia.it/GT.
