The Porsche GT3R will be again the cars to be beaten in the second round of the Italian Grand Touring Championship scheduled for this coming weekend at Red Bull Ring, the famous Austrian circuit of Zeltweg-Spielberg that staged several Formula One races too.

After the success in the season opener at Misano Adriatico, the German coupes will face the only race outside the Italian borders as favourite with Passuti-Mapelli (Antonelli Motorsport), as the provisional leaders in GT3, and Postiglione-Lucchini (Ebimotors) second at three points. For both lineups it will not be a walk in the park though as the two Audi R8 LMS of Capello-Sonvico and Kristoffersson-Frassineti (Audi Sport Italia) are ready to counter-charge as are the two BMW Z4 of Comandini-Colombo and Michela Cerruti (ROAL Motorsport), and the three Ferrari 458 Italia of Lancieri-Cirò (MP1 Corse) – twice on the podium of Misano -- Venturi-Maino (Black Bull Swisse Racing) and Mancini-La Mazza (Easy Race), with the latter at the season debut in the Italian series.

In the fight for the victory will also be the Lamborghini Gallardos driven by Sanna-Barri (Imperiale Racing) and by the latest arrivals Amos-Piccini (Mik Events), that replaced the lineup Mulacchiè-Rangoni in the team led by Claudio Rossetto.

The GT Cup cars will also be protagonist at Red Bull Ring with Marco Magli (Porsche 997-Antonelli Motorsport) ready to defend his leadership in the 1st Division from the attacks moved by team mates Galbiati-Brambati and Luciano Gioia, as well as by Pan-Gardel (Ebimotors) and Bianco-Babini (GDL Racing), all on Porsche 997 Cup.

The programme features two races on Sunday (at 10,10 GMT+1 and 15,40) on the length of 48 minutes + 1 lap that will be broadcast live on Raisport2, web streaming at www.acisportitalia.it/GT while Nuvolari TV will show them recorded; qualifying will take place on Saturday from 17,10 to 18,00.
