The autodrome Enzo and Dino Ferrari of Imola will house this coming weekend the powerful, prestigious and fascinating cars competing in the fourth round of the Italian GT Championship. The two scheduled races mark the turning point of the season and and will take place less than two weeks after the round of Mugello that witnessed a strong comeback by Ferrari.

The duel between the Porsche of GT3 classifications leaders Postiglione-Lucchini (Ebimotors) and the Ferrari of Lancieri-Cirò (MP1 Corse), that follow 4 points adrift will get the attention of the Enzo and Dino Ferrari, but several others could be the protagonists of the weekend. Strong contenders will certainly be the 458 Italia of Venturi-Maino (Black Bull-Swisse Racing) and Mancini-Dromedari (Easy Race), the two BMW Z4 of Comandini-Colombo and Michela Cerruti (ROAL Motorsport), the latter in good shape at Mugello, and again the Audi R8 LMS of Sonvico-Capello and Kristoffersson-Frassineti (Audi Sport Italia), that are hunting for a counter after the bad luck in the first part of the season.

Awaited to a strong race are also the lineups Passuti-Mapelli (Porsche GT3R-Antonelli Motorsport), that were penalyzed by technical problems at the start of both races in Tuscany and Sanna-Barri (Lamborghini Gallardo-Imperiale Racing), that are ready for an attack race hunting for the second podium of the season.

In GT Cup, the class monopolyzed by the Porsche 997, the classification leaders Bianco-Babini (GDL Racing) will have to fend off the attacks of the runner ups like Marco Magli (Antonelli Motorsport), Adriano Pan, who will share the cockpit with Gabriele Gardel (Ebimotors), Vincenzo Donativi with co-equiper Luciano Gioia (Antonelli Motorsport) and Omar Galbiati, with the latter still waiting to know the name of his co-equiper. Team change instead for the lineup Quinzio-Schiattarella that after the debut in Mugello with GDL Racing, will be racing with the colors of Heaven Motorsport led by Enrico Fulgenzi.

The programme of Imola's weekend schedules two qualifying sessions on Saturday (from 17.55 to 18.45) while the two races of 48 minutes + 1lap will start on Sunday at 10.30 and 16.30. Both races will go live on air on Raisport2 and on web streaming at www.acisportitalia.it/GT.
