Stefano Comandini and Stefano Colombo win race-1 of the sixth round of the Italian GT Championship in Vallelunga.

ROAL Motorsport's drivers run a great race and proceeded by 0.644 seconds Kristoffersson-Frassineti  (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia) at the flag as the latter fought until the end for the victory. Passuti-Mapelli (Porsche GT3R-Antonelli Motorsport) ended third at 1.922s.

Thanks to the second win of the season, Comandini and Colombo close up to the lead of the standings where now they are just 11 points adrift and put themselves forward in the title fight. The race has been quite exciting and it started with wet conditions and all the cars on rain tyres that were replaced with slick at the driver swap pit stop.

The fourth place went to Postiglione-Lucchini (Porsche GT3R-Ebimotors), that were followed by Capello-Sonvico (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia), as the latter were penalyzed during the second stint by some electric problems and Venturi-Maino (Ferrari 458 Italia-Black Bull Swisse Racing) that started from the pole.

The top ten was completed by Sanna-Barri (Lamborghini Gallardo-Imperiale Racing) seventh, Michela Cerruti (BMW Z4 ROAL Motorsport) eighth due to the penalties after the very good result in Imola, Lancieri-Necchi (Ferrari 458 Italia-MP1 Corse) ninth and Pan-Gardel (Porsche 997) first in the GT Cup.

The classification for the single-firm configuration cars was led by the lineup of Ebimotors, with Mirko Zanardini – at the debut in the Italian GT with the Lamborghini Gallardo of Bonaldi Motorsport – second and that dedicated the podium to his tea mate Andrea Mamè recently passed away, and Galbiati-Rangoni (Porsche 997-Antonelli Motorsport) third.

Race-2 will start at 17 (GMT+2) with recorded coverage on Raisport2 at 18,05 and web live streaming at www.acisportitalia.it/GT.
