The third round of the Italian GT Championship at Mugello

25 lineups on track this weekend on the challenging Tuscan circuit. The Porsche of Donativi-Gagliardini and of Omar Galbiati will try to defend their lead in GT3 and GT Cup.

All is set at the circuit of Mugello for the 3rd round of the Italian GT Championship, race scheduled for this weekend with 25 lineups on track. Among these, Ebimotors' Vincenzo Donativi and Andrea Gagliardini (Porsche GT3R), fresh winners of race-2 in Monza and leading GT3 class with three points to Carboni-Beretta (Porsche GT3R-Autorlando).

Audi's lineups are called to a counter-charge after the unlucky exit of Monza as  Mapelli-Schoeffler, are six points short of the leaders in the classification, and Capello-Zonzini have been strong in Misano's opening races at the wheel of the R8 LMS. Amici-Barri (Lamborghini Gallardo-Imperiale Racing) will also have a go at the top step of the podium as they displayed good potential in these opening stages of the season.

A lot of Ferrari drivers will also be aiming to the victory of the two races to be held this coming weekend. Frassineti-Necchi (Team Malucelli) will try in fact to repeat the victory obtained in Monza, Nicola Benucci (MP1 Corse) who will share the wheel of the 458 Italia with Gabriele Lancieri will also be trying to stay in the top half of the classification. Ready for the top step of the podium Casé-Giammaria (Scuderia Baldini 27), Magli-Ferrara (Easy Race) and Lucchini-Pier Guidi (BMS-Scuderia Italia) at their comeback after the good races in Misano.

The Mercedes SLS run by the Portuguese team Sports &You will also be on track driven byMora-Sà Silva, while the Corvette Z06 will be led on track by Benedetti D'Amico (RC Motorsport). Two new entries will make it to the track in GT3, both on Porsche GT3R. Autorlando will field Romani-Mengozzi, while Renauer-Bourdeaux will bring back Herbert Motorsport to the Italian series. Riccardo Bianco will share the cockpit of the German coupe with Stefano Pezzucchi for Krypton Motorsport.

One Porsche is leading GT Cup classification. It is the one run by Antonelli Motorsport and driven by Omar Galbiati and Christian Passuti, even though the driver from Bologna will be replaced by Luca Rangoni at Mugello.

Iacone-Tempesta (Lamborghini Gallardo-Bonaldi Motorsport) and  Mancinelli-Goldstein (Ferrari 458 Italia-Easy Race) will be trying to repeat their result of Monza, as both went on the top step of the podium in the latest round.

Porsche's solid team of Antonelli Motorsport will be completed by Pierlugi Alessandri and by the lineup Baccani-Venerosi, while Bonaldi Motorsport is going to field a second Lamborghini Gallardo driven by "El Pato"-Zanardini.

The entry list of GT Cup is completed by the Porsche 997 of Bodega-Maestri (Drive Technology), that ended in a very good P3 in Monza, Schiattarella-Quinzio (Heaven  Motorsport), "Spezz"-Selva (Ebimotors) and Quaglia-Zonin (Krpton Motorsport.

The Tuscan weekend schedules qualifying on Saturday (local 9,45hrs) and race-1 (16,30hrs), while race-2 will follow on Sunday with green lights at 16,00hrs. Both races will be broadcast live on Dinamica Channel (freeview and SKY), whilei Raisport2 will show them deferred. Web streaming will be available at www.acisportitalia.it/GT.
