Qualifying heats of the first round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship at the Circuit of Siena named the first candidates to the win in the double finals to be held on Sunday April 29th. Race-1 will start at 9.40 local time for all categories. Racing action will go live on AutoMotoTV (Sky 148) and live streaming at www.acisportitalia.it and the Facebook page of the Italian ACI Karting Championship. The second round of Finals will follow in the afternoon from 14.15.

National categories 60 Mini and OK-Junior will be on track as those of the single make Trophies Rok, Rotax and Easykart. The Naskart Trophy will also be at its debut, featuring Righetti Ridolfi chassis and Modena Engines.

As expected, qualifying heats of 60 Mini have been quite hard fought as they had to narrow the 80 participants down to the 34 finalists. The ten heats necessary to define the classification of the best drivers have seen the Norwegian Martinus Stenshorrne (Parolin-Tm) taking three wins, as did the British driver Coskun Irfan (Parolin-Tm), while Andrea Filaferro (Birel-Tm) won two heats. One victory went to Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Energy-Tm) and one to Flavio Olivieri (Italcorse-Tm).

In the two heats of OK-Junior, one victory each went to Tommaso Chiappini (Formula K-Tm) and Mattia Ingolfo (KR-Iame).

Cristian Comanducci (Tony Kart-Vortex) claimed two wins in the heats of Rok Senior. In the first, he led Pietro Delli Guanti (Exprit-Vortex), while in the second he was followed by the Polish driver Maciej Szyszko (Kosmic-Vortex).
