The 50th Rally of Friuli Venezia Giulia to start tomorrow

The extraordinary 50th anniversary of the rally to be celebrated tonight in Udine. Shakedown and day one scheduled for tomorrow. Live TV coverage on Rai Sport 2 and two ACI Sport Italia Live Streamings.

Udine, 28 August 2014 – The party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the rally will start at 20.00hrs local time (in the Ajace Room, at the loggia del Lionello, in Piazza I Maggio), at the presence of several Rally winners.

The shakedown will begin tomorrow morning (from 8.00 to 12.00) in Cialla di Prepotto. The event will get to its heart at 13:40 as the race will start from Duomo di Cividale as drivers will have to go through the five stages of "Erbezzo" and "Subit" (to be repeated twice) followed by the evening spectacle stage in Udine's city center, for a total of 50,700 Km. Six more stages will follow on Saturday 30th: "Canebola"(14,65 km), "Trivio" ( 14,94 km) and the long "Matajur" (20,44 km) to be repeated twice, for a total of 100,020 further Km. The finish line is set for 18.30hrs in Udine's Piazza della Libertà.

A appointments not to be missed are the television and online coverage of the 50th Rally of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Tomorrow evening Rai Sport 2 will air a special on the first stage "Città di Udine” from 23.30hrs to 00.30hrs. The classic spectacle stage will be covered with images and interviews to the protagonists of the rally. Rai Sport 2 will follow live the final stages of the second leg from Piazza Libertà of Udine, from 19.30hrs.

Two live streaming casts by ACI Sport Italia will be also cover the event. The first one will take place tomorrow Friday 29 August from 15.15, from the stop check of "Erbezzo", to the first loop, with drivers interviews taken with helmets still on a few meters after the finish line. On Saturday 30 August, from 12.50hrs the second live streaming event will follow at the end of the longest stage of the race, that is the eight stage "Matajur". Both 45 minutes long live streamings will be available at the official championship page of www.acisportitalia.it and on sportube.tv.
