Friday 10 October 2014 - The first stage, Torricelle of about 3km run in the night, officially opened the 32nd Rally Due Vally, final and decisive round of the Italian Rally Championship. The race opened in the mark of a great fight and of a lot of uncertainty among the Tuscan driver Paolo Andreucci, Peugeot 208 T16 R5, and the driver from Treviso Giandomenico Basso, GPL powered Ford Fiesta R5 that both posted the same quickest time. The stage has been too short to make a difference and behind the top two the gaps have been quite tight. The third time was in fact set by the Veronese Arbetti, Skoda Fabia Super 2000, who was two tenths short of the top, while another Veronese, Umberto Scandola, also on Skoda Fabia was fourth. The current classification leader is fighting for the title together with Andreucci and Basso but was 8 tenths off the pace. The Sicilian Andrea Nucita, Peugeot 207 Super 2000, followed proceeding Denis Colombini by two tenths. In the Italian Production Championship the duel involved Fabrizio Andolfi Junior and Ivan Ferrarotti, both on Renault Clio as the first proceeded his rival by only two tenths. Very good race also for Stefano Albertini, Peugeot 208 R2, who set the eleventh time in the absolute classification, behind the first of the Italiano Rally Junior Championship drivers.
