11 October 2014 - Paolo Andreucci and Anna Andreussi, Peugeot 208 T16 R5, ended on top day one of the 32nd Rally Due Valli, race organized by Automobile Club Verona. The Tuscan driver is leading this final round of the Italian Rally Championship with a 33''1s lead on Treviso's Giandomenico Basso, who is with Mitia Dotta on Ford Fiesta R5 powered by gpl, and with a 1'15.7s lead to the Veronese Umberto Scandola, Skoda Fabia Super 2000, as the latter has been slowed down by a puncture at the start of the race. Should this result be confirmed in the two remaining stages scheduled for tomorrow, Paolo Andreucci would secure his eighth title of Italian Rally Champion.

The day has been affected by heavy rain especially in the final stages where a lot of drivers came to the fore. Among these, Ciavarella, Ford fiesta R5, who is currently fourth in the absolute classification and Stefano Albertini, Peugeot 208 R2, who is leading the Italian Rally Junior. Among the very young drivers, Giacomo Scattolon, also on Peugeot 208 R2, is second even if he already secured the title.

Ivan Ferrarotti, Renault Clio R3, will just need to cross the finish line to secure the title. He is setting good times but watching out not to make fatal mistakes.

The Aci CSAI R1 trophy is quite tight. With two stages still to go, Iacconi with Barsottelli are leading Lucarelli, with Ferrari at the notes, and Visconti with Gravaghi. The fourth place is occupied by Tassone. All are on Suzuki Swift Sport R1.
