More new entries in 2022 Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi, which resumes from Imola this weekend (September 2-4) after the summer break. In the lineup of Wolf GB08 Thunder ready to sprint for victory on the track of the autodromo named after Enzo and Dino Ferrari, there will also be one for Francesco Gàristo.

The driver, who has considerable in karting background, then made the step up to single-seaters with a season in the Italian F.4 in 2018; then the Trophy dedicated to Lotus cars, before moving in more recent years to EuroNascar. For him, Imola will be his first opportunity to compete in Wolf Racing Cars, entering the Championship as a wild card.

Francesco Gàristo: “I’m excited to announce I’ll be racing in Imola as a wild card in the Italian Sport Prototypes Championship this weekend. The Thunder GB08 is an extremely quick and dynamic car and I really can’t wait to race it around one of the most wonderful circuits of the world. This round in Imola is an opportunity for me to enter the Prototypes racing world gathering experience with a car that is still new for me. A big thank you goes to Ivan Bellarosa and Lionel Champelovier for this opportunity and to my main sponsors IWM CEASA and University of Bolton for the support. My presence in Imola will mark a first step towards new horizons in my racing career. I’m pumped up for this new challenge and cannot wait to get down to business on Friday.”
