PHM Racing announced the complete line-up for the Italian F.4 Championship certified by FIA over the weekend. The German team owned by Paul Müller already had the chance to experience the second generation Tatuus in the F4 UAE series, in which deployed 3 cars. Now they are increasing their effort with a 4 cars line-up.

The already road-tested trio made by Taylor Barnard, Nikita Bedrin and Jonas Ried is confirmed also in the highly competitive Italian 2022 Championship. The three drivers already gained noticeable experience in the F4 series, with Nikita Bedrin coming from his Rookie season in the Italian F.4 as the current class title owner.

The drivers already had the opportunity to get to know the team and show a speed on track that certainly positively impressed the Paddock: “With Taylor and Nikita, we are very happy to have our maiden PHM Race winners from F4 UAE on board for the worldwide most competitive F4 Championship in Italy. The Paddock knows quite well their raw speed and talent, and Nikita won the Rookie title in F4 in 2021. With Jonas Ried, we have an experienced and great young man in the car 41. He won last season already two Rookie races and once he gets familiar with the new Gen2 car on the Pirellis, I am expecting Top 10 Finishes for him.” said the Team Manager Roland Rehlfeld.

In addition to that, according to PHM Racing’s mission, which is fully devoted to drivers’ development and education to grow the next F1 talent generation, a fourth car has been assigned to the female driver Victoria Blokhina. The driver comes from karting, she took part in many WSK international series during the last few years and already has her hands-on with the F4 single-seater taking parts in 4 of the 5 rounds of the F4 UAE.

With her racing career so far, she gained the attention of the German team who didn’t miss the chance to cultivate her talent in the challenging Italian F.4 Championship certified by FIA.

Roland Rehlfeld: “Victoria Blokhina is coming from international kart racing and was racing already four Races in the F4 UAE Championship in 2022. Her progress convinced us, to sign her for the F4 Italian Championship underlining our goal to educate and establish young woman in racing.”

In a team that has the personal and professional driver’s growth and development as the main focus, of course, a Rookie driver is part of the crew: Valentin Kluss. The crowned karting Champion, despite racing for the team in Germany, will not be in a PHM Racing’s car in the Italian F.4: “He is fully committed to our program, listening, learning and anticipating fast. Valentin will race from June on in Italy with our Partner-Team Jenzer Motorsport” pointed out Roland Rehfeld.

The team took advantage of two-day private test sessions in Spa-Francorchamps and was generally satisfied with the output, but of course, in such a competitive Championship with high level teams and drivers, nothing is to be taken for granted.

Roland Rehlfeld: “With our Driver Line up, we are underlining our ambition, to establish our new Team as successful as possible. Generally, I am happy with our strong and promising Driver Crew. The first test in Spa saw that we are on a good way, but for sure we are facing great competitors and have a lot of work to do for that.”

The appointment is now at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, for the first round of the 2022 Italian F.4 Championship certified by FIA, where the drivers will measure themselves on one of the many F1 circuits in the calendar.
