Andrea Kimi Antonelli, PREMA Racing, set the best time of the day in the second free practice session with 1'34.112. However, his teammate, Rafael Camara, who is still fast on the hot track of Vallelunga, remains behind his rival with a reduced gap of +0.321. Third was Alexander Dunne, Irishman of US Racing, (+0.411), followed at short distance by teammates Marcus Amand (+0.448) and Kacper Sztuka (+0.455).
Next up were two more PREMA Racing drivers, Charlie Wurz (+0.598) and James Wharton (+0.625), with the Grisignano-based team and US Racing sharing most of the top 10. Eighth best time for the Norwegian Rookie of Van Amersfoort Racing, Martinius Stenshorne (+0.785), then Nikhil Bohra, US Racing, (+0.815) and Taylor Barnard (+0.902), PHM Racing, close out the top ten. The last driver to stay within a second gap is Brando Badoer, racing for Van Amersfoort Racing (+0.934).
Manuel Quondamcarlo (AS Motorsport) was excluded from the second free practice session: the driver saw his race number displayed next to the black flag, after having completed multiple overtaking moves under a red flag, which was imposed after Jules Castro (Van Amersfoort Racing) went off the track and ended up in the gravel on the Roma corner.
