Monza Sunday awakes in a pouring rain. The morning race is postponed to the evening and race 3 to a date to be announced. In the evening the race gets underway, the rain is now over but the track is still wet in many spots. The drivers choose slick tires. The start was behind the Safety Car, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, from the pole position, remained in control of the race until the win. This makes it 10 for the PREMA Racing standard bearer, who is followed on the podium by teammate Charlie Wurz. Wurz, already a race winner on Saturday, thus achieves an extremely positive output in Monza. Third on the podium is the Norwegian of Van Amersfoort Racing, Martinius Stenshorne, who completes the podium composed of three Rookie drivers and, for the first time this year, takes the overall podium.

The race is very complex, there are several on-track contacts and neutralizations, it then ends with the display of a red flag for the stop of Ismail Akhmed (AKM Motorsport), into the gravel on the final lap, so the final standings are set one lap back. Penalties then come in the post-race: James Wharton (PREMA Racing), who in the fight for the podium overtakes Stenshorne by taking advantage of the track limit, receives 5 seconds and loses P4 and closes P15. 5-second penalty also for Kim Hwarang (BVM Racing), who in turn overtakes Frederik Lund (R-ace GP) off the track.

Will be instead penalized on the grid in the next race Raphael Narac (R-ace GP), for his accident with Lund in T10; and Nicola Lacorte (Iron Lynx) for his accident with Maya Weug (Iron Ladies) in T1.

The final standings of race 2 thus saw Antonelli's tenth triumph in the series, then Charlie Wurz and Stenshorne stepping on the podium. In P4 PHM Racing's Englishman Taylor Barnard, followed by Hadrien David, R-ace GP. Alex Dunne (US Racing), finished sixth. Very tough on track his duel with Camara (PREMA Racing), who has the worst of it and finishes tenth after a rally into the gravel. P7 to US Racing's Maltese David Zachary, followed by teammate Marcus Amand. Van Amersfoort Racing's Englishman Arvid Lindblad finishes ninth.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli: "We redeemed ourselves from yesterday. It was a very difficult race, with all these restarts I was very easily attacked at the end of the straight, so I always had to defend. I think we handled everything great and it's nice to win here in Monza. This weekend was a challenge, with so many cars all together. It was also difficult in qualifying to find the right lap. My team and I managed everything very well and in the end we also managed to find a good result."

Charlie Wurz: “I am very happy with the weekend, honestly. Good to have 2 podiums. I could have had another win today, I just messed up a bit the Safety Car restart and Kimi got me. Got a big gap and then couldn’t really fight back, but coming from P5 on the grid to finish P2, I am very happy with that and, again, thanks to the team. The conditions were tricky but we managed to keep pushing, keep overtaking, even when we lost some positions, I managed to fight back to the podium. I think we could be happy with that and fully ready for Mugello”.

Martinius Stenshorne: “it was a really nice race. First podium of the season was really nice. A bit of a redemption after yesterday when we had the DNF, the speed was looking really good, so I am really positive from Monza. Thanks to Van Amersfoort for always keep pushing, to my mechanics and engineer.”
