Kacper Sztuka flies in the first free practice session at Misano World Circuit

US Racing's Pole sets the fastest lap in the Italian F.4 morning session

At Misano World Circuit, the Italian F.4 Championship single-seaters take to the track in the morning for the first free practice session. Pirelli tires hit the track in the dry, at 17°, air temperature at 18°, data certainly destined to rise over the course of the day. The gaps are very tight until the checkered flag, when US Racing's Polish Kacper Sztuka took the lead flying in the last lap with 1'34.550. Second best time for Finnish Rookie Tuukka Taponen, Prema Racing, +0.149, who played it on the thousandths with teammate James Wharton. Narrow gaps then also for Arvid Lindblad (PREMA) at +0.168, Zachary David (US Racing) +0.226. Sixth in practice was Singaporean Akshay Bohra, US Racing, at +0.242; followed by American Ugo Ugochukwu, Prema Racing, +0.362. Eighth place for Tina Hausmann, Swiss driver of AKM Motorsport, +0.397. Brando Badoer, Van Amersfoort Racing, closed ninth with a gap of 0.418. Completing the top 10 is Emirati drive Rashid Al Dhaheri, Prema Racing.

 

One more 40' free practice session kicks off today at 11.55. Qualifying is scheduled as early as in the evening today, Friday, May 5, on track in two 15' sessions interspersed with ten-minute breaks, will start at 17:45. Saturday, May 6 will be an exciting day with two races on track. Race 1 will be at the start at 12:10, followed later in the evening by race 2, at the starting blocks at 17:35. Sunday, May 7, race 3 will open the second day of the ACI Racing Weekend Misano, kicking off at 9.00.
