Rasmussen again, with an excellent Hauger

It is again the Prema driver who conquers the victory also in race 2, with a rematch in the championship also against the two teammates, Leclerc and Petecof, who are delayed. Very well Hauger, who, however, fails to win.

It would have been Van Amersfoort Racing's first victory in the 2020 Formula Regional championship, the one that Dennis Hauger misses from pole. In fact, a large part of the race is played at the start with Oliver Rasmussen (Prema Powerteam) who does very well from the third position and takes the lead at the first corner. Slower once again the VAR drivers, with Hauger losing the lead of the race, but still holding the second position, while Chovet is overtaken by Leclerc and passes fourth, and Petecof in an attempt to overtake the Monegasque goes off the track and finds himself in the rear positions. Matteo Nannini (Monolite Racing) does well going from seventh to fifth position.

The race continues with the battle between Rasmussen and Hauger at the lead, the latter trying to recover the first position until the end, but without success, while Patrik Pasma, ruler in Monza, overtakes Nannini.

Chovet manages to overtake Leclerc after several attacks and is fourth. Meanwhile, the battle for the sixth position between Nannini, Gillian and Petecof is on. The latter after numerous attempts finally manages to overcome the two opponents.

Rasmussen wins with Hauger attacked until the last corner, but the Dane does not concede anything to the Norwegian and therefore there is no possibility of overtaking. Third Chovet, fourth Leclerc, who recovers points on Petecof, sixth behind Pasma.

Race 3 will start tomorrow at 10.30.
